SmithHeb 1:8 8By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God."I want to talk to us today about the city that Abraham looked for.""I want to talk to us about Heaven."I was 15 when a young person asked me the question..."If you were to die today, would you go to Heaven or to Hell?"To that point in my life I had not thought much on my eternal home. I suppose I had imagined what Heaven must have been like, just as I had imagined what Hell would be like.But I never really considered that someday I would be in one or the other for eternity.Someone described eternity as a huge stainless steel sphere the size of the earth.Every 10,000 years a sparrow would circle the sphere and in doing so would brush her wing against the sphere.At the time that her brushing the sphere with her wing every 10,000 years would cause the huge sphere to become decreased to the size of an apple, eternity would have just begun.                                                   "That my ...
