Jeff BrantleyI Chronicles 17:7 Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:Here we find, in I Chronicles 17, that David has decided that he is going to build God a house, or a temple.But for some reason, this strikes God the wrong way.And in this verse of scripture, God has sent the prophet Nathan to give David a little history lesson...I have...Put you in the sheepfold as a little shepherd boy...I helped you kill the lion and the bear...I sent Samuel to anoint you to be the next king...I helped you kill Goliath...I kept Saul from killing you all of those years...I have given you the kingdom...==============================================================================God asks the question, "Who's taking care of who here?""You're going to build me a house to dwell in?"I feel that sometimes our blessings can become curses...There are some times God just wants us to remember a few things.He wants us to remember where he's brought us from...It's so very important to remember what God has brought you from.* Good Samaritan - if you forget where you came from, you will forget where you are going.Sometimes God just wants to remind us of where we came from, so he can show us where he wants to take us to.Think back to where God has ...
