Jeff BrantleyII Samuel 18:6 So the people went out into the field against Israel: and the battle was in the wood of Ephraim;7 Where the people of Israel were slain before the servants of David, and there was there a great slaughter that day of twenty thousand men.8 For the battle was there scattered over the face of all the country: and the wood devoured more people that day than the sword devoured.In this chapter of II Samuel, we find that the kingdom of Israel has been divided...Between King David and his son Absalom...A great battle was engaged because of this division.That's the devils game plan. He wants to cause division in the church/family... (the family is the building block of the Church)Unity-----Jesus said in Mark 3:25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.Church we have a mission to accomplish, but that mission will never be completed until we have complete unity...The bible tells us that 20,000 men were slain because of this division of the kingdom of Israel.But notice what the Bible says in verse 8, For the battle was there scattered over the face of all the country: and the wood devoured more people that day than the sword devoured.More people died that day because of their surroundings than those that were killed by the sword of the enemy.As I read this scripture, God gripped my heart, and He began to say, this is the same with the ...
