Mark 1:30 I.   2 Corinthians 11:3  But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtility, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. II.   The four essentials of prayer. a. Holiness: Holiness of heart and life are the foundation of prayer. It is no use lifting up our hands if we are not holy (1 Tim 2:8); neither must we approach the golden altar of incense to offer praise before we have washed away the filthiness of flesh and spirit at God's laver (2 Cor 7:1). b. Fervency: Fervency of spirit is the prevailer in prayer.        1. Importunate Widow. (Luke 18:5).        2. The persistent Friend. (Luke 11:8).        3. Apostle Peter. (Acts 12:16). c. Discrimination: Discrimination is the wisdom of prayer.        1. Ask amiss.        2. Things that are already answered.        3. Things that they must do themselves.        4. Wrong motive. d. Faithfulness: Faithfulness is the backbone of prayer.        1. Consistency to the Word of God.        2. Unceasing confidence and trust in God. III. "They tell Him of her." Notice the simplicity of the verse. This is real prayer. a. K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Salesman) b. How do you speak to your mother, father, etc.(The more you know someone the more natural you are with them). IV. Tell Him! a. Telling Him the ...
